California Is Dumping  Millions Of Plastic

Reason Behind Is Mind Blowing !

California is experiencing one of its most severe droughts on record. This is the difference between water levels in the Bidwell Marina in 2011 and 2014.

The state has come up with an interesting way to protect the last of its precious water — dumping 96 million plastic balls into their reservoirs.

These black, weighted "shade balls" will block out the sun and prevent water vapor from escaping, reducing water loss from evaporation. They'll also prevent chlorine from turning into carcinogens by reflecting UV rays, and decrease algae build up.

The balls themselves are made from the same stuff as milk jugs, so shouldn't give off any chemicals of their own.

The Environmental Protection Agency wants all California reservoirs covered. And this oddly mesmerizing technique has been incredibly cost-effective in past droughts.

Shade balls will be able to achieve that at 10 percent of the normal cost to cover the reservoirs, while saving 300 million gallons of water each year. And California needs to save all the water it can.

This technique need to be done in all affected countries Brilliant ! isn't it!
